Small that's big

You know I love Ikea. There's something about the usability and efficiency of space (as well as the fashion sense, balanced with our image of utopia). And I'm continually delighted by the space-saving designs featured on Apartment Therapy.

So all this is taken up a couple notches, two-fold:

* Gary Chang's
344 square foot Hong Kong apartment: Wow. Not only a utilization of design to expand and diversify space, but also an embrace of tracks and reflective surfaces.

*
Window Farms' quest to design hydroponic gardens efficiently mounted along small urban windows:

How much more can we do with and within small? And how can we redefine small?
