The Walk to End Alzheimer's - Team Ginger
To bring hope to families living with Alzheimer's and other dementias.
This is our third year participating in the Walk to End Alzheimer's. Please donate, please walk with us (or in your own community), please educate yourself.
Alzheimer’s and other types of dementia dramatically hinder the lives of those with the disease, exhibiting short-term memory loss, time and place disorientation, and difficulty with language. Family members and loved ones suffer.
But even when someone is far along in their journey with dementia, there is hope. In the future, hope for a cure. In the now, hope for moments of joy. For myself and many of my colleagues serving our elders who are on a journey with dementia, one of our primary goals is always to create moments of joy, moments of peace, moments of comfort. You see, when facing a disease that hinders short-term memory, the key is to remain in the now and to reminisce about good times, proud moments, loved ones, and great accomplishments. I and my colleagues are honored to serve - not only those who are on their journey with dementia, but also their loved ones.
Please give to The Walk to End Alzheimer's.
